We are Friedman Insurance, providing both personal and commercial, property and casualty insurance. We are Friedman Financial Services, providing employee benefit plans, financial services and retirement plans. Whether your needs are for yourself, family, business, or employees, The Friedman Group is your single source for insurance. Our History 1928 - The Friedman Group began in 1928 when Henry Friedman signed a contract to be an agent for State Farm. Henry worked out of his home primarily selling insurance to farmers. 1933 - In 1933 he moved his office to what is now known as the Fischer Building, in downtown Dubuque. 2007 - After 73 years in the same building, in 2007 The Friedman Group moved one block away to new offices at 880 Locust Street in Dubuque. Even though the company now employs 37 people and represents over 25 insurance companies, it has maintained the strong tradition initiated by Henry Friedman 80 years ago - Protecting What's Important to You, our customers. 2020 - In February 2020, The Friedman Group joined AssuredPartners, the 10th largest insurance brokerage in the U.S. This partnership provides us access to additional capital and a national footprint that enables us to continue to negotiate the most favorable coverage terms and conditions for our clients, and allows us to provide an even broader spectrum of risk management support services. 2022 - In December 2021, we moved to our current location at 501 Bell St. in Dubuque. |
